Sup Lads, My brother wants me to build him a computer for editing footage (premiere pro)
I know how to build computers as I have a lot in the past but I haven't been in the space for a really long time so I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out with a build, this is simply just for the parts of the pc nothing else. It will be used for editing video up to 4k60. It doesn't need to be capable of gaming at all really. Budget is around £650-£750 I know the budget is a little low especially if he wants to edit 4k footage but it's what im working with, and I was hoping to squeeze an ssd in there somewhere if possible. Thanks for any advice/builds in advance you guys are much appreciated.! <3 |

PCPartPicker Part List
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£200.00) CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - M9a 48.4 CFM CPU Cooler (£22.95 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: MSI - B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard (£89.84 @ AWD-IT) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£65.60 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Intel - 660p Series 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive (£57.84 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£54.99 @ Amazon UK) Video Card: XFX - Radeon RX 580 8 GB GTS XXX ED Video Card (£159.00 @ Amazon UK) Case: Phanteks - P300 ATX Mid Tower Case (£52.00 @ Aria PC) Power Supply: Corsair - CXM (2015) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£52.14 @ Amazon UK) Total: £754.36 R5 3600 is available July 7th. It should come with a Wraith Stealth CPU cooler, so long as you don't buy the OEM Tray version which will come without an included cooler. You can use the Wraith Stealth if you want to save 20 quid, but the Cryrorig M9a is a nice little budget cooler. I'd maybe drop the 2TB HDD for now, and up the RX 580 to a GTX 1660 since it's easy enough to add the hard drive later, and they're not too expensive. It's worth noting that if you're using this system with a cheap monitor, it might be better spending some of the budget on a new monitor and taking a slight hit on some components for now. For example, I'd definitely be trying to move away from a 1080p60Hz monitor. |
