Some confirmed parts I have for a new build are a 9900k and a Gigabyte Aorus Pro and I'm looking for a really good 2080 Ti that meshes well with these parts for 4K gaming and good quality twitch streaming. |

There isn't really a 'best 2080 Ti for gaming'. They are still the same underlying graphics card. Generally, you would want to find one with good cooling, so don't go for the blower-style cards.
I, personally, have the MSI Duke variant of the RTX 2080, just to give you some direction. |

So quick question... Do you know anything about streaming? At all. No, I'm being dead serious. Like are you really trying to become a streamer, or is it just something you want to do on the side. Because there are some real hurdles you have to jump.
1. Transcode on platform. Sure you may have the connection speed, latency, ping, hell next to YouTube or Twitch's main office and be completely denied their service in 1080p@30fps. Why? Are you a partner or affiliate? No? 720p@60 it is then. 2. Scaling and Response time. Something to really consider especially if you plan to play in 4k is the reality of 4k. Even with a 2080 Ti, and I'm speaking from experience... You will find that streaming will be difficult in 30fps. Why? The massive downscaling OBS, Streamlabs, Muxy and so on all take rendering those frames is not simple, which means skipped frames due to rendering, encoding and latency. Meaning you'll want a higher refresh panel and 1ms response time which will likely end you at TN due to price versus IPS or VA. Along with your own connection speed can and will be a major factor especially if you're trying to record in 4k and stream in even 1080p@30 fps will hit your PC hard. 3. 2080 Ti Mythology. 2080 Tis they are truly amazing cards, they can play just about any game in 4k at ultra maxed out everything settings at 60-80 fps even in some titles going to 90 fps! Turn on RTX features and watch it all vanish and drop to 40-60 fps. Which means lag and latency.. Do you want to watch a stream that's choppier than Hell's Kitchen? My Build 6,300 USD. Haven't updated it for the new SSDs, SECOND 2080 Ti I have or Valve Index setup I have coming in. 8700k, 2080 ti. Don't take my word for it, literally just go to twitch and ask streamers with 2080 tis their problems streaming in higher resolutions, people with 1 or 2 pc's and such. You will find every piece of info you dig up amazing and informative as well as heartbreaking. |
