I am building my first gaming pc for around 1000$ AUD, I have managed to get two builds that I personally think are good for the stuff I'm going to be doing. But as I am a PC building noob, do you have any suggestions for my PC or any flaws in it?
Games I'm gonna be playing: - Minecraft (w/ shaders) - Overwatch - SCP Secret Laboratory - Watchdogs - Team Fortress 2 I also might be streaming a bit. Heres the two builds: [Minimum post requirement for links] EDIT: I have edited the maximum build to remove the wireless adapter. EDIT 2: I have now purchased this computer, thanks everyone for helping me! |

Not a bad build, you should be able to play minecraft with shaders fairly well on low or medium settings depending on your resource pack and shaders you use. But considering how notorious Australian internet is I'd lose the Wifi adapter and just go with an ethernet connection. As well I would go for your maximum build between the two if you can manage it. Reason being for CPU performance along with more storage and a slightly better GPU. |

Do you have monitor/s if so which one/s?
I would wait until 3rd gen AMD CPUs come out. Their release date is mid 2019 which should be soon and means 2nd gen AMD CPUs should decrease in price. Also, for gaming you always want a wired connection. |

I have an old 1080p tv that I'm fine with using, I haven't noticed any issues so I'm fine with using it though in the future I might get an actual monitor |

I wouldn't pay that much money for a 1660 when Radeon offers just as much power for a fraction of the price. The Ryzen 3k CPU's drop on the 7th as well as the new motherboards which will be half the price and up to par with intel's i9 CPU's |

LiamBogur wrote Well a few more months after I'm gonna get this monitor: au.pcpartpicker.com/product/HBRzK...itor-c24g1that monitor should work fine! although in order to fully unlock your 144hz you need a cable that can transfer the 144hz from your monitor to your gpu. HDMI cords are normally capped at 60-120hz depending on how much you spend. apparently there are 144 hz hdmi cables but to guarantee 144hz from your monitor I would get a display port cable or d- dvi if your gpu has it on the main screen slot. |
