When I turn on my rgh it blinks the three lights but I don't hear the fan start or anything. Think it has something to do with the power getting to it. I believe the error code is 0003. First time I've had any issues with it, however just starting it up after over a year of nonuse. Just looking for something to do during summer vacation. Thanks. |

Yeah, just switched. Solid orange light on the power supply. Not too sure what the problem is, I haven't changed anything on it, let alone touched the rgh in a while so wondering if that has something to do with it |

sounds like the GPU chip lost its connection due to rrod code being present and no fan power..
the xbox has a safety protocol when the system boots up and it cant contact with the GPU or CPU it automatically shuts down and only presents a code so no other damage can be done.. a reflow could fix it temporarily, a reball would be a proper fix. |

Nah not yet, got mine from one of the best, rodent; but I believe he's not doing rgh's anymore. Not sure if I should wait on his response or just check it out myself. |

tylerrre wroteWhat Streamah said would do, You could wait on his Response as he comes on TTG still or you could watch some videos on Reflowing or Reballing the GPU/CPU, but thats if you have all the tools to do so.12GA wrotetylerrre wrote Yeah, just switched. Streamah wrote sounds like the GPU chip lost its connection due to rrod code being present and no fan power.. Ahh damn, not too sure if I want to spend too much time on this fix. Was hoping there was something I could do just do force start the fan or something of that sort. Might just say screw it to the rgh and just stick to my xb1 |

tylerrre wroteStreamah wrote sounds like the GPU chip lost its connection due to rrod code being present and no fan power.. Could be a few things causing it. i personally believe its due to sitting around for a year and not being booted up. the frequent temperature changes can cause the already brittle lead free solder under the GPU+CPU to become more brittle, and then when you go to fire it up it senses hairline cracks in the solder balls n voila rrod .. a proper reflow and some good thermal paste and some jacked up fan speeds would likely fix it and have it running cool. |
