Recently started thinking what if thousands of people raided a forbidden place such as a prison or Area 51, don't think they would punish all people? Wanna hear your thoughts

Edit:

Found this pretty interesting

"If thousands of US citizens (other nations doing so might be an act of war) walked towards ANY US government ANYTHING, including Area 51 and excluding other factors to make it realistic scenario, the base would go on lock down. Any special assets that could be safely transported away would be. That includes technology, research material, non-essential personnel, etc.

If this throng of people attempted to penetrate or actually penetrated the fences and barriers of Area 51, personnel would begin to destroying all sensitive equipment that could not be evacuated. All of it. After all, there would be blue prints and back up data for all of it somewhere else. Anything too precious to destroy and unable to evacuate, like aliens kept in suspended animation, would be sealed up tight. Think classic bank vault doors but bigger and thicker and stronger. Not even a few hundred thousand people, unless they have the tools (demolitions, termite and heavy equipment), could penetrate these vaults. That's IF any of that shit actually existed, which I think makes the question more intriguing.

Unless the people were openly hostile, I am fairly certain NONE of the soldiers would fire a single round. The US military is still American and human. Maybe some CS gas deployed, but that is surely overcome by hundreds of thousands of people fairly easily"

I think the armed guards ar will punish everyone

You thinking they wouldn't start shooting at people, regardless of American citizenship or not, is where you're not thinking.

They wouldn't hesitate to kill to keep some of the most secretive government knowledge and ideologies.

This right here. The backlash from it may be all over the place, but the fact of the matter is, one of, if not the most secretive military bases/government institution, that has multiple signs indicating arrest, fines and a literal "use of deadly force is authorised" would not stray away from a horde trying to run into the base. I mean governments/kingdoms/tribes and all of that have done shit against their own people since the dawn of man. You don't even have to go that far back, you can jump into WW1 and 2 for example. Like hell, Stalin alone killed off a bunch of Soviet peasants and Ukrainian Jews both voluntary and involuntary (saying they can't eat and causing starvations and/or cannibalism in the more extreme cases) in order to feed the army and make sure that more food was going to them instead of the common citizen. Then there's Tiananmen Square. Probably some stuff that happened over in America on that scale since I don't really know much about American history outside of war. Even not that far back in 2002, 204 people who were taken hostage by 40 terrorists in the Moscow Theater Crisis, were killed. Some by the terrorists but most by our own police and special forces. Plus we ended up poisoning/injuring another 700 people inside that theater who weren't terrorists from a poison gas/chemical weapon that wasn't properly tested at all and was as experimental as it gets, in an attempt to kill, knock or incapacitate the terrorists, which the casualties were seen as a win since it stopped the terrorists. Sure, that's a different country from America and a different circumstance, but governments kill their own citizens as is, let alone a restricted area that warns of deadly force is on the up and up.

At this point though, if it actually happens (as in some people show up and think it's a good idea) it's honestly natural selection at that point lmfao Not even I am that brain dead to try and charge into a restricted military/government zone and I've done some absolute stupid shit in my life where people would question if I was okay in the head.

The problem with your last statement is that Area 51 specifically, is not guarded by active military personnel. The security is provided by a private security contractor, and they work closely with the local police. While the military may not engage US citizens on American soil, I'm sure that the private security wouldn't be as restricted.

You probably seen the petition or whatever going on where they already have 450k + people ready to storm Area 51 on September or October 20 2019.

In my opinion I don't think it will happen but if it does some of y'all better be livestreaming.

The place is a very secure place that the government doesn't want the public to see or even to hear about what in and around the place. First of the security is high and probably you'll get shot, is there aliens there maybe? If 10,000 people would visit there well first off it wouldn't be smart and 2 - if that amount of people would go there it wouldn't end well.

I bet ZERO will get shot. Maybe they will shoot in the air to spook people. Over 1,000,000 people have joined now. Now, the air force has come out and said it wouldn't be a good idea. So, now they will probably just prepare for the day and then the day will come and nothing will happen because it's a meme. But, let's say 1000 people show up, heck we can even say 10,000 as OP stated. I seriously doubt one single person would get shot... with a gun that is. I bet they'd just load up on tear gas and tasers and just do a riot control type of thing. On top of that, if they even went into lockdown as one person stated, that would be where it ends. I'm sure theirs plenty of barriers that they wouldn't be able to get past. If hotels only allow people to get in VIA the inside with a person buzzing you in, a place like this will definitely have some good protection.

But, once again I doubt that many people will actually show up. People will chicken out, or Guards will fight back but most likely with non-lethal force.
