Sign up for a credit card with your bank with a simple reward program.
Use it to pay for gas, that's what I do. I've used it to pay for gas the last few years and only use it for gas pretty much, but you can use it for any regular payment. As soon as it shows up on my bank account, I pay it off right away. I've built an Excellent Credit from doing this, it's simple and effective and very easy for someone like you, I was in your exact position. |

I used this as my first to gain credit. The prices are marked up, but they allow low monthly payments. |

If you have absolutely no credit and need a credit card they will forsure get approved go with the Platinum Capital One credit card.
It has a $300 limit at the start and with every 6 months it goes up by $300 I believe. My girlfriend was in the same boat and had no co-signer or anyone to help her get a credit card and was already in deep stuff with her credit because she went into minor debt (around $700) finally paid it off and was able to go through capital one without any issues! 5 months later, I think shes around 550+ |

Honestly dude, unsecured credit cards are an easy way!
I went to a buy here pay here car lot and just chose a decent car and pay on it weekly to build my credit and it has been working wonders. Also got a tool box through snap on credit which reports monthly to my credit and that also has been helping. |

I agree with Maze and BLVD on this one, I personally have a credit card with capital one and use it mainly for gas, sometimes food if I forget my debit card, etc. I try to pay it off immediately, thats the best way to do it and its one of the easier started credit cards to get IMO. My credit score is in the upper 600s right now, being 19 and starting less than a year ago I would say that's pretty decent.[/align] |
