Just wondering whats better to do, I wouldn't class myself as really overweight I just have a few extra pounds to lose around my stomach etc
I want to build muscle and strength but I also want some definition because who doesn't like to look good? lol Just wondering if anyone on here can offer advice? Thanks |

If you cut you will regret it because you'll pretty much just be skinny with abs.. Start with a surplus and build as much tissue as you can (especially if you're a beginner) and then think about a cut down the line |

Starting a bulk when already at a higher bodyfat % than you want to be is daft, youll be gaining fat and little muscle tissue and you're diet I assume atm isn't great and you will only use a "bulk" to over undulge. Start with restricting your calories and strip down to reasonable fat, then look to start slowing increasing calories in small increments while keeping your protein at 1g x BW. This will give you a brilliant start as your growing from minimal bodyfat and the chance to see a gradual increase in muscle tissue. |
