Honestly, years after doing my GCSE's, the only reason you'd need them is for college. You can easily get a minimum wage job if you wanted to with E's and stuff, if you want to get into a L3 course you want 5 C or higher grades (you may be let off with 4 depending on the college).

Of course if you wanted to do A levels and all that, you're gonna want grades qualifying for that. But with our college system, if you get shit grades you can try and get into a L2 course, complete the year, and do a L3 course in which case you have a diploma in what ever field you study.

So basically I only need them to get high class jobs and to get into high tech colleges etc, even if I get 2, I can still get a job?

I would try your best to get the best grade you can achieve, you only get one shot and it looks good on you. You're gonna want to aim for at least a 5? I'm not sure because when I was doing this new GCSE system it was a 4 to pass.

For a level 2 course you wanna aim for grades 3 or higher (you need at least 4 of them). Do the level 2 course and then do the level 3, you will be able to do it within 3 years and get it all for free. Easy qualifications.

GCSE's don't mean anything honestly I put the wrong grades in my CV for my first job and they never even questioned it. It's honestly more about who you know not what you know.

GCSE's are only useful for getting into good college courses, that's it.

I agree, GCSE's are important as it shows people what you've got but in all honesty here, work experience is what companies look for the most as most people ignore qualifications I've noticed and focus more on what you can actually do, how long you've been doing things for and so on like the perfect example is this: [Minimum post requirement for links]

Granted it's now been out for more than three years, the point is, people value work experience way more than they do with things printed onto a piece of paper saying that you got this grade or that...
