As the title says, my fps stutters on low graphics for Fortnite, quake champions, and h1z1. This hasn't been an issue for me until just recently and i could always get 200+ fps constantly on these games before, i have a 1060 3gb and i5-8400 |

I've noticed sometimes updating your drivers on older cards(not sure bout 1060 tho cause it's not that old) actually **** up your performance even more. There was a video comparing diver versions on the 970 + 980 on older drivers to newer and how it tanked their fps. I used to have a 980 before upgrading to the 2080 and I can confirm downgrading my driver did fix the problem for me. |

I'd say a few months at most but like I said the 1060 isn't that old so I'm not sure if it will fix your issue. It definitely did for me though when I had my 980. |

I got stuttering issues on my 1060 after updating the drivers as well. The latest drivers may be unstable |

One issue I've had before is my GPU decided to stop being a GPU, and my game was playing off of CPU only, giving me the stuttering, low FPS, and quality issues you describe. Make sure your GPU is actually running, you can ALT + TAB out of the game and open task manager to check GPU, it'll tell you it's load.
If your GPU is functioning properly from a physical standpoint, as in it turns on the registers, then yes I would recommend going to a previous driver, and ignoring any Nvidia software messages saying you have an update. |
