I'm looking for a headset that I am able to simultaneously use on PC and Xbox, mainly because I use the Xbox app on my pc and listen to music on pc and game on Xbox. I've used Astro a40 tr's for like 4 or so years now but their just not the best.

So any recommendations are appreciated, Thank You.

I've recently purchased the HyperX Cloud Alpha's and they are by far the best bang for your buck headset.

I use a HyperX Cloud II headset on my PC which you should be able to use with Xbox One. Just plug into the 3.5mm jack.

Realistically, it depends more on your budget than just wildly suggesting headsets.

Depends what you consider "Best" for gaming. Do you care about how your sound is, do you buy into "7.1 VIRTUAL SURROUND SOUND!" or Actual stereo headphones that will show you they sound EXACTLY the same, if not significantly better (most cases being the latter.) Do you care about audio as in Mic sound? Well there's a lot of options.

I use a Razer Electra V2, truthfully, a lot of the time with headsets, such as Beats when those were "the thing", their "premium" feel was due to weights installed in the headband portion to make it heavier, and I've noticed the same with many headsets I've torn down over the years upon buying a new one, not going to brand shame, the headsets were good, but using weights to make a product feel more premium is still sketchy lol.

But the Razer Electra V2 that I use, has suited me good for over a year with no issues, and it's headband is like, a wire frame design that's also padded so it's soft on top of your head, and I have a big head so the fact I can flex it all the way out, twist it, deform it, and it snaps right back, is perfect for me. The amount of headsets I've broken because the plastic wears and cracks over time is immeasurable

There is a version of this that plugs in via USB, but with the version I use, it's a standard 3.5mm jack that works flawlessly when plugged directly into the Xbox controller, audio and voice quality are perfect, and then there's an extension adapter included that makes the cord longer, and also splits it into separate audio/mic channels for use with a PC, so if you're going to get one, make sure it's the 3.5mm jack version so it'll work across platforms, because when I had a USB single cable headset before, it worked on PC, but not Xbox.

Also there's no static, there's good quality sound, and a good quality mic, which is detachable by the way, everyone has their preferences, but for a 40 dollar headset, it rivals many of the other headsets I've had that are $200+, I'd recommend it personally, and here's a link if you wanna check it out:

Id suggest artics 3 pro for £50 more on the cheap side but for the price this headset is dope lightweight nice headband could wear for hours good spund quality imo and mic quality is the best iv seen so far once i got it my mates told me i sound so much clearer and it has a breakaway cable incase ypu accidently pull on the wire.

My favorite headset was turtle beach turtlebeach xo seven sound quality was good, was the most comfy headset i have ever worn also the heaviest cost me £130 but id suggest try finding something better if your not just looking for comfert would also like to add the left ear piece broke off after 3 years of use this also has a breakaway cable

A friend of mine bought a hyper x headset not sure the model may have been a cheap one but his broke within 4 months but he said the hyper x was his favortie said it was so good so mabey look into reviews of thier better end headsets.

Im not sure how razer are i have only ever owned one razer headset the razor craken newest one, it has windows sonic surround sound helps abit but id only suggest this headset for casual gaming and listen to music the bass is heavy makes it harder to hear footsteps and can make peoples voices and game sounds sound deeper and muddier but i will say for the price of £50 it is incredibly comfy memory foam ear bits with cooling gel so you dont get really warm ears, listening to youtube videos i tend to switch headsets as the extra bass on this can make it harder to hear commentators over gameplay.

Just a few headsets i have owned i used to always buy turtle beach but there is deffo better cheaper headsets out thier for the same thing they offer.

I also had that Astro A40 tr and now use hyper x cloud II, brilliant headphones and they've never let me down.

Surprisingly I find them more comfortable and better sound quality than the Astro's
