One is fine but a common setup is an SSD or M.2 with the OS on it while everything else is on a HDD or another drive |

It's personal preference but I'd suggest just using one |

Yes it is perfectly fine to run everything off SSD especially with gaming for quick load times, if your doing a lot of work in ms office or easy stuff like that then a hdd will do you fine. SSD is basically for speed |

Using that CPU with that GPU is bound to bottleneck I'd think, I'd go with a 2600x instead, still get good performance, and push that extra cash into a more equal GPU, also the x470-f I got gives you two m.2 slots, one with a heatsink and one without, so I put my 970 EVO plus in the first one with the heatsink, it's my main drive for boot and personal files, and I used a 1tb Toshiba m.2 in the second one, for games only, as it's something easily replaceable if that m.2 were to fail.
It's a good option also in terms of cable management, less wires makes for a more tidy build, and the fac that they're faster than a traditional SSD in most cases is also a big deciding factor. That's my personal preference, but hit me up if you want links. |
