So, last night i got around 4-5 blue screens within an hour or so. Did some research and the errors leaned to bad RAM?(16bg 2133mhz) Went out bought RAM today (actually upgraded to 16gb 3k mhz). Put in new RAM, and changed RAM in BIOS, still got 1 blue screen/couldnt load anything on chrome (your connection isnt private) and couldnt even launce new COD. (dev error 5624). So i plugged old RAM back in and everything works fine.... for now. Could anyone help me out? I know its a bit confusing. but any idea would help a TON.
Thanks |

Most bluescreens are caused by driver issues so I'd look there first. Though, if you're saying that you've already done the research and it's pointing to RAM then that's fair.
It's possible that another piece of hardware is causing the issue that interacts with the RAM. This could be either the RAM slot itself or a bent CPU pin on either the CPU or Motherboard causing issues with the memory controller so I'd look there next. The issue where you have no internet and couldn't launch COD doesn't align with your first issue and that sounds like you just have no internet so that's something to look out for next time you boot up. When installing the RAM, try a different Ram slot, or just booting to 1 stick of RAM or even just leaving the RAM at stock speeds. RAM, depending on your CPU Platform, is very fragile and doesn't like to be touched too much. If you've got faster RAM, it's possible, if you're on Ryzen that you just need to upgrade your BIOS to improve memory stability. This should give you enough information to point you in the right direction. |
