Would jumping from Ryzen 5 2600 to Intel 9900k be a valuable upgrade in terms of gaming?

Money isn't an issue. Sitting on the fence in terms of AMD vs Intel.

Thanks

I mean you'd get performance gains that's for sure but we can't answer if it's worth it. Check out this chart

OC3D 9900K Review

If you already have the 2600, sell it and pickup a 3600. That will get you a performance gain without breaking the bank since you're only buying a CPU and not a new motherboard too.

Im in NO way a fanboy of Intel or AMD, but AMD is probably universally agreed upon the best bang for buck. The 9900K is the most high end you can really get in terms of gaming, but you will not notice any difference really if you went with a Ryzen 5 3600X($200) versus a i9 9900K ($450)

Id highly recommend using Userbenchmark and testing out what you think you'd like. Remember, motherboards vary with these processors.
