I am looking to transfer my components to a new case. I would really appreciate some recommendations on a case for the components I have. My case at the moment is the Corsair Crystal 460X RGB Case.

Asus ROG STRIX X299-E Intel Core i9 7900X , Corsair Hydro H100i CPU Cooler , 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000 , Asus GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix x2 (SLI) , Corsair RM850X PSU , 500GB Samsung 960 Evo M.2 and 4TB WD WD4004FZWX Black HDD.

With that rig you'd definitely be wanting to put it on show I'd think.
Maybe look towards tempered glass sides, maybe InWin 303 case. Sleek design, lovely side panel and comes with nice SSD mounting.
Good cable management and plenty of space inside

I'm really happy with my NZXT H500. It's a simple, modern look with a window on the side for showing off your components

I doubt your build would fit in an H500, but they do an H700, in different colours and it has a large tempered glass window, probably one of the nicest cases around tbh.

Or you could go with the All black and tempered glass Corsair Obsidian D series. and just choose whatever fits your build really.

the h500 is uber spacey inside. though most of the H lineup is just not really great with airflow overall. even their attempt at 200mm fans for airflow kinda went sideways.

the obsidian series is hugely overpriced for their return imo. Unless the build requires something with a huge budget that is.

Would it leave much space after an SLI build though? I had one previously and it was spacious but not huge.

Fractal Design are coming out with a new case in a few days, might be worth waiting for that. Rumours have it that it's pretty neato but I don't have any more information other than that on it.

NZXT cases are OK but I've found them to be too plasticy for the money. A couple of manufactures that I can get behind are Anidees and Lian-li if you want a more unique look to your rig.

I picked up a cooler master case not too long ago for an office build [Long story] and was surprised at the build quality and features for the price point. Something to look at if you're on a budget.

Any reason you're 'upgrading' from a 460x? That's already a pretty high-end case, and something like an Inwin 303 or NZXT H500/H510 really isn't an 'upgrade'.

Well, what do you mean? An extra GPU in SLI isn't going to take up any more room in the front of the case, so sure there will be space left? The only space a 2nd GPU is going to take up, is the motherboard PCIe slot? Space that the motherboard is already taking up? So the 2nd GPU is only impeding access to the motherboard.
Either way, yes, the H500 is big enough for a system with SLI Strix 1080Ti's.

^^^^^^^^^ This.

NZXT H700 launched at like $200 and was never worth anywhere near that. My H440 was under £100 and was considered fairly high-end when I bought that, but I got sick of that thing pretty quickly tbh and am more impressed with my budget Phanteks P350x.
$140 for the NZXT H710 is much more reasonable, but there are still better options IMO.

The NZXT H500/H510 is a fine option for a mid ranged case if it's what you like, but again, better options in it's price range IMO and a $70ish case is not going to be an 'upgrade' from your 460x really.

High-end cases to consider;
Fractal Meshify S2
Lian-Li PC-O11 Dynamic/Air
Cooler Master H500 or H500P Mesh(not the original H500P)
Phanteks Eclipse P500A(when it launches next month) - or a P600S if you can't wait and don't care so much about airflow.
Those are probably the cases I'd be looking at in the $100-150 range.

There is also the Phanteks Enthoo Pro II coming soon, which is essentially just an Enthoo 719 with a mesh front panel and lower price(so same idea as the P500A from the P600S). Although I've no idea when the Enthoo Pro II will launch, and honestly it's a little ugly inside IMO, at least until you really fill it up with a shit ton of fans, and maybe even dual systems. It's also quite a big case. Not that the other cases I've listed are small, but the Enthoo Pro II/719 is definitely larger.
