Hello! Hope everyone is having a fantastic quarantined day! Just wanted to share my progression and maybe spread some memories from when the world wasn't such a mess! It all started around March. I felt my career as a photographer was really kicking off. Afterall, its been my passion for years and I never really chased the money. Ive never really traveled a bunch. Maybe 1 or 2 trips to the coast when I was younger but ive mostly been couped up in my city. St. Louis, MO. Never been to New York, Or any really big cities my whole life. Well, At 22 Years old, I finally decided to co outside my comfort zone and book a trip to the nearest big city. Chicago! I went out, And traded some of my old gear and took some of my money i had saved up over the past two years and bought my Dream camera! A Sony A7Riii. I even got super lucky and bought a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8. With all my new gear, I knew i wanted an adventure! I live about a 4 Hour drive from Chicago but that's too basic So for the first time in my life, I booked a train, Which was only $30 and a 5 Hour train ride. I even splashed an Extra $10 and upgraded to business class. Im mostly a somewhat shy, Keep to my self kind of person, so forcing myself out of my comfort zone is something I felt I needed to do. I needed to take that leap. I boarded the train to Chicago at 4:30am. Had the whole entire business class to my self for a good 3 hours. I joined a few photography groups on the way, Mostly Chicago street photographers and made a few posts asking if anyone wanted to meet up and shoot some photos together. I was so excited about the trip I forgot to make hotel reservations! I heard a lot about Airbnb So I downloaded it and booked 2 Days in a slick, Upbeat, modern apartment in North Chicago about 20Min away from the city by train. Right on Lake Michigan too. It was pretty sweet! Free local coffee and self serve fridge full of breakfast foods! Awesome! Anyways, I met up with some random photographers which was a first for me. Not really normal to meet up with complete strangers! I wanted to learn the city and tagging along with someone who truly knew all the spots was the best decision I made. I learned so much and binged watched tons of street photography videos before the trip and I feel my progression is just crazy! I hope maybe this will inspire someone to take that leap. Maybe come out of this pandemic and do something you always wanted to do. Im even looking to go skydiving! Maybe its that girl you wanted to always talk to. That class you wanted to take, That thing you always wanted to try! Give it a shot! Take a jump!
Here is some of my best shots! ORIGINAL POST Anyone here do photography? Im a beginner and I did some street photography one morning where I just walked around and took photos in the city. These shots were taken between 5:30am and 9am. What are some thoughts from a non photographer prospective? Really proud of these

Wow! Those are some really good shots. I can't even tell that you're a beginner.
I'm no photographer but I think some of the photos could be aligned more evenly. Namely the graffiti one which I think looks really good with the filters/edits. |

I'm no photographer but I used to practice photography when I was younger and I was considered to be good, but those photos that you shared are absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work |
