I'm about done with my PC at this point. I'll keep it short and simple. Booted my PC up today, went to connect to my hotspot on my phone (i have unlimited data and a better connection then my main internet), and it connected. I went to try and connect to my main WiFi though because my phone was nearly dead, now I just get an error from windows saying "Unable to connect to this network"
Don't really know what to do, made sure the wireless adapter was plugged in properly, tried the network reset, followed a guide on the official windows support page to do some network related things in command prompt and still no luck. Can't try to connect to my WiFi box with an Ethernet because it's a dongle style of router (Vodafone little box thing) Now I can't connect to any sort of WiFi, including my personal hotspot on my phone, any help would be appreciated before I honestly lose my mind |

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for your WiFi Dongle? |

What you gotta find out here is if its a Windows problem (which it really rarely is) or if your dongle has gone bad. On windows, can your dongle search for wireless signals? Or does it show the plain white globe with the description "No Connection" |

1. Go to Settings / Control Panel
2. Click on Network and Internet / Network and Sharing 3. Click on Manage known Networks 4. Remove / forget all wireless connections 5. Reboot computer 6. Scan for a Wireless Connection 7. Connect to your specific wifi A possible solution For your Hotspot, I did some research and saw that changing the name of your hotspot can fix the connection issue. |

My PC has a TP Link Wireless adapter built in to, my WiFi is some little box with a package on it. I've connect to my WiFi from my phone so I know it isn't that which is the problem, it's either this adapter not working or something windows related, I really don't know. |

If not, the only sure fire way to test that your adapter is bad would be to disable it (through device managment) and insert a new adapter (USB3 WiFi adapters run 40-80 dollars) Have you tried disabling the device completely through device management and starting it again? Just to make sure I'm understanding you correctly; you cannot connect to a wireless signal from your PC? Or you cannot connect to YOUR wireless signal from your PC? Been messing around with it for a while now, I managed to get it to connect to my router, but after about 5 seconds it gets disconnected. I have the globe icon with a circle with a line through it in the bottom left. I only received the PC around a month ago and haven't had any problems with it up until now. |

Update any drivers related to your wireless card and also make sure to "Forget all wireless networks" and re-enter the passphrase required. May be worth checking your network adapter to make sure there are no static entries for DNS or hard coded IP settings. May be an IP clash of some sort. |
