Of those 115,000 only 4,000 have died. I say only because in comparison as far as numbers go, That is not that many.

The thing with social media is big corps like CNN, NBC, FOX etc have realized that things can trend, and trend fast through the internet. They will take whatever topic and conversation that is popping at the time and keep a fire lit as long as they can.

Those numbers are the numbers China have reported. Most reporters have actually stopped following Chinas reports as they seem false. The way this virus spreads, there is NO way China would report only 5 cases in their entire country ~1.4 BILLION people. The US is just now starting to test. Weeks late. Statistics show:

Yes this virus does not have a high mortality rate compared to previous pandemics, you cannot treat this like "its just the flu." This is still a deadly virus.
