So i have a Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad Core Skylake Desktop CPU Processor SR2L6 LGA1151 socket
and just picked up a Asus B360-I ROG STRIX Mini-ITX LGA1151 8th Gen Intel motherboard DDR4 Knowing the sockets are the same and cpu is from 6th gen and motherboard from 8th gen will these work together? tried searching it couldn't really find out if they would work together or have issues have 32gb that also came with this motherboard and just needed a cpu before buying a cpu i wanted to see if this older one i had would work in this motherboard |

same pin layout but the wiring is different. It wouldn't work simply due to that. Generation 6 board types that would work

I found a B150m HDS for the processor Now just have to figure out which processor I am going to use for the asus 360 motherboard. Any suggestions ? |

Generation 6 board types that would work What would you recommend for a processor ? This is going to be a custom build in a Xbox case. So want something good. Maybe like $800 to $1000 build. |
