I have a PC atm. Its about 5 years old, not able to run new games at more then low or medium now.
Current PC specs are: i5 Processor Z97 Guard-Pro Motherboard 16GB RAM NVidia GeForce GTX 970 Microsoft Kernel Network Adapter NZXT Case with 2 Fans Noctua CPU Fan 2x AOC 60hz Monitors Razer mouse and Keyboard. I'm looking for something more powerful to be able to run games on the highest quality, stream on the computer, and i also do game design at uni so something powerful enough to run UE4 and a few other programs. I have around £1,500 to spend don't add peripherals to the price, they can be added on after, because I can always use what I have. I'll +Rep all builds |

_-Fuzzy-_ wrote I have around £1,500 to spend don't add peripherals to the price, they can be added on after, because I can always use what I have. Re-use your 1080p60Hz monitors if you want, but I'd also invest in a better monitor with the £1500 since it'd be a waste to spend any more than £750/800 for a 1080p system. I'd start here; PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£163.98 @ Aria PC) Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£104.97 @ Box Limited) Memory: Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (£92.76 @ Ebuyer) Storage: Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£103.94 @ BT Shop) Video Card: PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Red Dragon Video Card (£353.46 @ Ebuyer) Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case (£83.99 @ Box Limited) Power Supply: RIOTORO ENIGMA G2 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£84.99 @ CCL Computers) Monitor: AOC Q27G2U/BK 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor (£279.97 @ Laptops Direct) Total: £1268.06 Add whatever capacity HDD you want/need. You can up the R5 3600 to an R7 3700x if you really want the extra 2 cores + 4 threads. You can spend the extra £150 or so for an RTX 2070 Super over the 5700XT if you want. You'll gain about 10% more performance, and RTX support. The 5700XT is undeniably far better value. You can up it to 32GB RAM instead of 16GB if you want. Get one of these kits if you're after 32GB; uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/yHrmP...m2d3200c16 uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/b4n8T...16fb3ak232 Curved version of the same 1440p144Hz monitor if you'd rather that over a flat panel; uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/qMyqq...-cq27g2ubk |

I like the build id probably got for the R7 3700x, 2070 RTX Super and 32gb RAM. Im not a fan of huge monitors so id probably go for the 24" version and get 2 of them. If im upgrading monitors I may as well upgrade the rest of my gear and get the Razer Huntsman Elite and the Razer Basilisk wireless.
If im spending a good £1,500 I want to get the better stuff. Which GTX 2070 Super though? Anything else to add or upgrade? |
