Hi and a quick Thank You to people in advance who can help , the problem I'm having is with my Xbox one, I could be the first one of the internet in my house hold and it will still lag online and soon as everyone else connects to the internet any game I play online it just lags consistently .But everyone else has no issues streaming films and so on but soon as i connect to my phone as a hot spot, I get very minor lag And games tend to be in the 42ms ping bracket and i was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and maybe a fix for it? Also I will reply back to people and thank every one just I am busy but would like to be able to play some Xbox tonight.

If you're on wireless that could be the issue, I'm with Virgin and my internet is shocking wireless when I try to connect my phone or xbox but other people in the household are fine, but once i stuck the Ethernet cable in all the lag and inconsistency went away, personally would recommend that, if that doesnt help give your ISP a ring and see if they can improve the speeds

Yeah we was with virgin but had issues with them and they said it was on Xbox end so moved to three and was getting 35 -40 mbps on Xbox now barely scraps 8mbps but seen recent reports that it's not just me on three having same problems but three have just said they doing "maintaince" but it's been that way for a while was wondering if there was a way to boost speeds up abit tried different placements of the hawaui box but it's still no good , just feel like the xbox inbuilt wifi just doesn't work as well as it did as oppose to a year ago.

You're probably way over your bandwidth or the router is.
Can you provide details of how your internet is actually set up?
Doesn't sound like it's the Xboxs' fault tbh. I still get 80-120mbp/s with my original Xbone on wireless.

The same thing happens to me. I'll be in a party with my friends and everything's good then as soon as we start playing a game online I can't move or I'm skating through the map. Only happens on COD and Apex(well so far anyways cause those are the only games I play). Trying to find a solution as well.

The router is id say roughly 3 metres away but through a thin wall you could probably punch though it your self lol but when the virgin media box was downstairs it was still better than what I'm averaging now kinda wish I didint switch now but at moment switching back isn't an option, I've reset the router and all of that and even moved its position where I thought items around it could be affecting it were it was close to a tv and surround sound and other appliances thought maybe the surrounding frequencies could be affecting it but still no change.

I feel your pain I really do mine always seems to jitter as soon as I get into close combat with enemies on war zone is well so no chance unless I'm further away from them and start shooting.

Are you using an internet router integrated into a modem or an independent router?

It's an all in one so literally plug it in anywhere in the house and you can test the signal strength with the app

I use to have bad internet, check your packet loss and let us know what it shows, when i was wireless i had a constant 1-2% packet loss lucky days id have 0 but i lagged alot, i got a ethernet cable and that helped a ton, i rarely lag now even when 3 people are streaming tv shows and movies in my house,

Since your modem is really close im sure if your not wired already it would be easy enough getting a wire to it

Also are you lagging all the time or just recently since lockdown?
And what is your internet speeds?
Xbox has had a few problems since lockdown some games have gotten a little laggier during peak hours but has not been to bad, could also be your isp that is having problems,

Also im not to sure what the all in one thing is, is that were you plug it into any outlet if so and you are in an old home bad wiring can cause some problems with the connection
