I need to know how I could maybe fix a single gauge in my car to work. I have done tests to see if it would move but when I didn't the test all of the gauges on the car moved except my coolant temperature gauge. What could be the issue?

Most likely it can be the temp sensor. If you haven't checked it then I would check/change that first. I'm not sure what car you got. But most of the newer cars you can hook up a diagnostic tool to it and if it shows the correct temp then it's the gauge, or if it shows nothing then most likely it's the sensor.

I hooked up my obd 2 scan tool to it and it didnt show anything for that so i think my car is a little to old, but when I check the sensor what do i need to do to check it?

It can be a easy fix mate. Usually When one gauge stops working, the problem may be in the gauge itself or a bad sensor, try replacing the temperature sensor first
