Looking to build a PC for in and around the £2000 pound mark, was looking at something along these lines but would appreciate a second opinion.
Would also need a new monitor as my current one is 1080p. Cheers! What is your budget and currency?
£2000 What will you use the PC for? Gaming and light use of CAD Do you need a monitor? Yep Do you need a keyboard, mouse, or other peripherals? Nope Do you need an operating system? Nope Will you overclock? Most likely not Anything else we should know? Budget is not strictly £2000, so if it goes over/under for a worthwhile upgrade it's fine |

In all seriousness, that is a sweet build. I'll leave it to the experts to give you a more concrete answer.
This is my build and it has gave me 0 problems and the temps are always low. uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/jpNnrV |

Pure Wings 2 120 PWM 87 CFM 120 mm Fan (£8.99 @ Amazon UK) Monitor: LG 32GK650F-B 32.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor (£328.99 @ Currys PC World Business) Total: £2114.68 Alternative monitors; Pixio PX329 MSI Optix MAG271CQR Add whatever capacity 7200RPM HDD you want/need. Drop the 3900x to an R7 3800x if you want to save £100. If you want a cheaper X570 motherboard, get the Asus TUF X570. Or, the MSI X570 Tomahawk if you can get one for under 200 quid. If you're getting a B450 mobo, don't get the Strix, just get a B450 Tomahawk MAX and call it a day. Don't pay 140 quid for an NZXT H510. Lian-Li PC-O11 + 3 fans is the same price, which is a far better quality case with far better airflow. Otherwise, I'd get a Cooler Master NR600 or Phanteks P400A for <£80. |
