So I have a very good router I have a nighthawk... but unfortunately due to where I'm located in the house I cannot directly connect my pc to the router via Ethernet. I need to connect via WiFi. When I play on WiFi it shows I have 3 bars but I still lag when I play games. I was wondering would it help if I got a range extender and plug it in via Ethernet to the range extender? Would it help reduce lag? I'm getting the nighthawk x6s if I do in fact need the range extender. |

Tele wrote Refer to my comments here: Forums/t=7797093/ethernet-wifi-question.html There is one major issue with powerline adapters and it's the main reason they lost popularity. Raw interference. Personally i would highly advise OP to grab a long roll of cable and just run a line or daisy chain wifi extenders. |

I would also download a WiFi analyzer on your phone and use that to scan the channels around you and check if you're on a channel with a lot of interference that would be causing your issue. |
