Duos wrotevibing wrote rs3 is dead, hop on osrs so we can play together Don't know why people say it is dead, because it really isn't. Yeah OS have more players but RS3 is still very much active and an over all better version. Most people from OS are just nervous and overwhelmed with how to play rs3 with its much better version of combat etc |

Dalm wroteDuos wrotevibing wrote rs3 is dead, hop on osrs so we can play together Don't get me wrong, the combat is great but the game is way to overwhelming and filled to the brim with microtransactions. I streamed the game to a couple of friends on discord to show them how it looked, i walked around for around 30 minutes and made 20m and gained a level from lamps they shoved down my throat. Not to mention the hours upon hours of dailies you have to do compared to a farm run and a birdhouse run on 07. Not to mention the cluttered UI. I had to look up a video to figure out how to change combat styles. |

Anhur wroteDalm wroteDuos wrotevibing wrote rs3 is dead, hop on osrs so we can play together Yeah the UI is a complete cluster f*ck imo as well. RS3 is clearly pandered to people that never gave up on it. I've tried probably a dozen times to try and play RS3 again, not playing since whenver the first combat update was (2013?). It is so confusing and overwhelming for me, and I play countless hours of OSRS a week. I even tried starting a new account and going through tutorials, it really didn't seem to help. Everything seems over complicated for no damn reason. And that's why people are still drawn to OSRS - it's simple. It just works. Trying to fix something that isn't broken is why RS3 basically died - the trade system updates, the combat updates, the UI, meaningless new skills. It's just a mess. And they wouldn't have half as many players had OSRS not got so popular - most people I know that play RS3 use it as a background time waster as they're skilling or training on OSRS. I really wish I could get into RS3 because its what we always wanted Runescape to LOOK like when we were kids. It just PLAYS like complete trash. And I won't even get started about their wheel of fortune keys or whatever they hell they're called. |

And I won't even get started about their wheel of fortune keys or whatever they hell they're called. I get where you're both coming from, it is certainly a lot to get use to. Regarding the UI's, yes it is pretty cluttered but thats why you sort it out yourself for your preference as the default ones given are shit, here's an example of one sorted for user preference https://i.imgur.com/GVLdr8B.jpg once you get use to what things are it's easy, i agree that new players may struggle to work it out but boy is it nice and easy once you get the hang of it. The combat is amazing as well, once you understand what you are using and what ability does what it is pretty damn good With dailies, you don't have to do them, no one's forcing you to do them they are only there to help get that extra bit of XP. A lot of things are still similar to old school, RS3 is just quicker and probably easier rather than grinding out hours on end Mxt is hated by majority of players on RS3 as well, but again, you can play the game without it. You get 2 free 'keys' a day that you can use to get something from it. RS3 is great with how it looks when you can play up to ultra settings and making many things look pretty realistic. Meaningless skills, well there are many skills that are meaningless on old school and RS3. Yeah majority of player base is old school, the game wouldnt survive without RS3 as bad as mxt is, it bring in a lot of revenue for Jagex. I play old school as well, it is simple and easy but everything is just a grind |

Dont bother with a christmas cracker,
Those things go higher than what they say its listed for in GE Youll need about 9b to even get one. Blue party hat is like 6b and the others are somewhere near that price range. |

Maze wroteDalm wroteDuos wrote Whats the best way to get a rs3 party hat i dont have enough gp or high enough levels to stake. Yeah if you RWT you're most likely not going to get banned unless you're doing it within the billions. But i've heard jagex likes to go after the seller rather than the buyer. But never the less it's not safe for either party. I would say grinding bosses is probably the most legit way you're going to get the gold to buy one. |
