I've been wanting to get into pc gaming for a while now, and after a couple paychecks and some pressure from my friends, i can finally buy or build a pc. i really have no idea about what makes up a pc, or how it works because I've only really used a school laptop and my xbox. i have a budget of around $300, and i wanted to see if you guys could help me out.
I will need the whole nine yards: a monitor, keyboard, etc. Any sort of tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Are the peripherals included in that budget or are you buying them separate? |

Answer all of the questions fully and we can try our best to help you. I usually try not to discourage people with smaller budgets(no offence intended, I'm not saying $300 is necessarily a "small" amount of money) because you definitely don't need to drop a grand on a system. However, $300 is going to be pretty tight, especially if that budget is including peripherals. |

I am going to go out here and say you might just wanna save a bit more money up if you plan to just use it for gaming and wanna play halo infinite on it. I can say now with a pc on that budget you will not have a a good time playing halo infinite. |

Yeah, $300 just isn't happening, especially since you need a monitor. Even $400 is going to be pretty tight since stock is pretty poor right now it seems, especially for more budget-oriented components.
R3 2200G - ~$80 B450 Mobo(AsRock B450M Pro4-F) - $70-80 8GB 3200MHz RAM(2x4GB) - $30-40 Monitor - $90ish Storage(500ish GB SSD) - $50 These prices are assuming there is any stock though, and I can't seem to find R3 2200G's anywhere. You could grab a 3200G for an extra $20 though, which will do the same job anyway. This would leave you around $75 for a case and PSU(if you find a 2200G for $80), so grab a cheap case for like $25, and then $50 should usually get you something like a Corsair CX450 or Seasonic S12III 500W. However, as I said, stock is horrendous right now and I can't find any reasonable quality PSUs for less than $70. So, if stock was there, you could just about manage a system for $400, but you'd be running it without a discrete GPU, and would be relying on the Vega 8 integrated graphics. While that would be absolutely fine for the likes of Fortnite, etc, I'm not sure I'd be playing Halo Infinite on an APU. |
