Hello, I have built two gaming PCs so far and I feel as tho i can "trust" them or something... The idea of buying a prebuilt makes me feel weird lmao.... But as you know building a laptop isn't really a thing..... Im not really looking for a laptop in general but what sites do you trust? What do you look for in a laptop for gaming? I have no idea where to start really and idk why

So i've bought a gaming laptop before and let me tell you, whatever you do, DO NOT purchase from iBuyPower. I had heard good things about them but I've been through absolute hell with them and it just ain't worth it. Might not help much in your search but I'd definitely avoid them like the plague.

Thats actually why the guy told me not to go with cyberpower... he said customer service was terrible.

xotic is good but they're in high demand so expect delivery and shipping delays.

So you might have to wait a while. My buddy just got his from when he got the 1st stim check

Look into the Acer Nitro lineup, MSI lineup, and Lenovo lineup. Hell even check Eluktronics. They all have some *decent* deals for gaming laptops, it really depends on your budget and what you want. Check reviews on the thermals for each model (this will be important on a gaming laptop). And check Newegg and Amazon for each, don't buy a gaming laptop used off of eBay etc. I also wouldn't go for any custom sites such as iBuypower or XOTIC, you will get a better price buying how I stated.

Yo this thread is dead but I'm looking again and you seemed like you know what your talking about .. so I've changed my goal for this. I think if I were to game it would be Sims 4 or something nothing extreme like escape from tarkov. The absolute main thing I'll be using this for is 3d modeling in fusion 360 and then slicing software and such. It's hard to find a laptop needed due to being so many choices.... Idk if you could suggest something that has these recommended specs

CPU Type 3 GHz or greater, 6 or more cores

Memory 8 GB RAM or greater

Graphics Dedicated GPU with 4 GB or more VRAM, DirectX 12 supported

I would greatly appreciate it. Idk if that's gonna be expensive or not.. the wife I think wants it under $2000 but cheaper the better obviously..
