i know i made a big post about what should i upgrade on my pc to handle the best gaming performance on an lgc9 or cx oled...however i'm starting to reconsider that decision and i'm exploring the option of getting monitors instead.
my question is, if i got 3 27inch monitors instead of a big lgc9 or cx, what would be the best 4k gaming monitors with hdr to use to push the 3000 series RTX GPUs coming out to their potential?(i also plan on hooking up an xbox series x to a monitor when both that console and halo infinite is out) doing my own research, i came up with the idea of getting 3 "asus rog pg27uq" monitors...or...getting one samsung g9. are there any better 4k, hdr monitors than those to get at the moment? also, what will happen if i get a gaming monitor that has gsynch but not free synch when i connect an xbox one x or xbox series x to it? will not having free synch ruin the experience? |

I've been doing a lot of research for the 48 CX OLED and honestly, the OLED seems like the best choice for next-gen consoles. No monitor at the moment supports HDMI 2.1 and that's what the next-gen consoles are going to be taking advantage of. The only problem with OLED is burn-in but if you purchase the protection plan from Best Buy then you won't ever have to worry about that since you'll be covered for 2-5 years depending on what protection plan you purchase. As for PC gaming, the OLED offers gsync and freesync and has an input lag of 6-8ms with the correct TV settings. I'm planning on mounting the TV to the wall and using it as a monitor but I'm waiting till I move into a new house which is in a few months. |
