Just made a new alt account for rs3 to mainly help out my main account but evenmtually want to use the account for pvm and stuff so I do plan on training my combat stats so I can do PVM and get those stats high too and make it an all around type of "main" account if that makes sense. Any suggestions as far as what I can and should do in the starting stages of my new rs3 account?

Maybe we can make this a thread new or returning users to rs3 something they can look at for suggestions on what to do on a fresh accouint as a step by step type of guide.

The first thing I did was picked enough flax to get to level 5 (the cap of free to play) farming and used that to get level 20 crafting to when ready make sapphire rings and train crafting as well as make some gp. At the moment I am mining at Lumbridge swamp getting my mining up and will do so at various locations for awhile not sure when I will switch skills.

I have decided to put a few hours into wooductting today while I get 2100 total level on my main. I plan to go get 20 archeology by the end of the day on the alt account as well as thatll be some nice gp too if i train for a bit past the max level cap.

I haven't played a new rs3 account in years, but starting off by questing(especially some p2p quests like waterfall) can get you some pretty solid stats with little to no training involved.

Questing makes the game to easy that's what you should do first.
