Drop the windows 10 and the 3 tb hard drive as you don't need either of them. Put the extra money into the gpu for maybe a 2060? Would be a solid build
Can get a windows key from ebay for £3. Edit - or to buy peripherals. |

With the new GTX 3070 coming out I would recommend buying that and leave yourself room to upgrade down the line. The GTX will easily last 5 years + and you'll be able to upgrade around that.

--Connor wrote uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3x8mdm No. Pls. Not only is a GTX 1650 a terrible GPU anyway, but it absolutely does not belong in a system of this budget. What is the network adapter for? Oh, and don't pay 100 quid for Windows 10 pls. KnK wrote £60 OVER, but in the scheme of things defo worth it. It's worth going 60 quid over his £1000 budget for a system to play Minecraft on? I doubt that very much. KnK wrote EDIT - forgot to include the list lol - uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ https://i.gyazo.com/6bb4720d3370299174e1c2843e2a0d6a.png You need to post the permalink or bbcode, not the /list/ URL. LGW wrote Drop the windows 10 and the 3 tb hard drive as you don't need either of them. Win10, sure, definitely not worth paying 100 quid for. The 3TB HDD though, just because you might not find it necessary doesn't mean no one will. Sure, I'd recommend spending money elsewhere first and adding HDD later if possible, but if it were me, I'd absolutely be buying a 3TB(minimum) HDD straight off the bat. F10 wrote With the new GTX 3070 coming out I would recommend buying that and leave yourself room to upgrade down the line. The GTX will easily last 5 years + and you'll be able to upgrade around that. An RTX 3070.. for Minecraft? Also, that's a £500 GPU. Actually, for the Strix, probably closer to £600, so that's going to put him at least 150 quid over budget. This is probably where I'd start; PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£185.95 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£104.95 @ AWD-IT) Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (£67.72 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Crucial P2 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£94.79 @ Amazon UK) Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case (£79.99 @ AWD-IT) Power Supply: Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£69.98 @ Amazon UK) Total: £603.38 Can't really recommend a GPU without knowing what monitor(s) are being used, but assuming it's a single 1080p panel of some sort, I'd just grab a GTX 1660 Super for around £200. I'd possibly even drop the R5 3600 to a 2600, but as above, don't really have enough information on monitor(s), or what the system is being used for exactly. With the R5 3600+GTX 1660 Super, you'll have about £200 left. You can use that to upgrade motherboard and SSD if you really want to spend the money, but both likely not worth it in this situation IMO. Also just add whatever capacity 7200RPM HDD you want. |

Who needs THAT much storage unless they're professional hoarders or everything they ever download? Would be much better of with 2 SSD's (1tb+500gb M.2) in an ideal world. HDD has slow loading times compared to everything else. Just thought it would be a more beneficial option. |

--Connor wrote Thanks for your response, a motherboard with built in WiFi would be sweet, what could you recommend The Asus TUF X570 Wi-Fi variant is a good choice, but you don't have to spend that much. This would do just fine; uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/mcjNn...n-max-wifi LGW wrote 3tb MINIMUM, can I ask why? because I use that, and more. 3TB is nothing to plenty of people. LGW wrote Who needs THAT much storage Me. Plenty of other people as well. LGW wrote Would be much better of with 2 SSD's (1tb+500gb M.2) in an ideal world. Not really. Everyone's "ideal" storage set-up is going to be different. I would absolutely get a 1TB SSD before anything else, but then I'd get an HDD for mass storage since the 1TB SSD is going to last you until you can afford to buy another 1TB SSD if you need it anyway. LGW wrote HDD has slow loading times compared to everything else. Which is pretty irrelevant in plenty of situations. I didn't say SSD's weren't better than HDD's. LGW wrote Just thought it would be a more beneficial option. You just told OP to drop the 3TB HDD because they don't need it though? I don't see how that's beneficial to get rid of it if OP knows they need that much capacity? |
