Only played 2 of my 10 placement games for standard and so far on everyone elses rank i'll be right back to plat 3 / diamond. Not sure if I should continue solo queing or wait for my friends to get on.

Hmmm that's hard to say, especially for standard. Standard can be so hit or miss with your teammates. I would say that it's definitely more fun with friend. I'd be able to play some games with you next week. I'm flying back home and doing school stuff this week. Let me know what you decide to do! I played a couple standard matches too, and they went bad for me haha.
