Hello everyone! So I had this Xbox 360 E 2013 model that makes a grinding noise when i start it up. don't know what's causing the problem and when I run my games from the disk the Xbox is like a jet engine!!!!! It is super loud. It's kind of frustrating playing a game for 30-50 minutes and a big loud noise keeps interrupting.
Can any one help me with this?

could be a number of things:
*xbox is clogged with dust, needs cleaning
*hdd is on its way out
*fan could be faulty
*cd drive is faulty

Could be. Because the fan is, lets say a little bit dusty!
but the HDD is alright, the fan is working fine, the only issue i think is what you said. The CD drive.
since it's really loud while playing games and when i put my hand on the closed tray the Xbox quiets down. weird, right?

Open the console up as well as the cd drive and clean it properly. Also put new thermal paste as that can help keep noise down
