So Biden wants to raise taxes / get rid of the Trump tax cuts, he wants to ban fracking and phase out oil, he created the 1994 crime bill which wrongfully locked up thousands of minorities (and actually started what people are protesting today with police brutality), he wants to cut social security, cut medicare, cut veteran programs.
When questioned on all this stuff he denies all of it and says he never said it despite it being recorded that he said all of these things multiple times! I am a Trump supporter but can someone tell me without saying "because he's not Trump" why you like Biden? I don't like Bernie Sanders or his policies, but during the democratic debates he did bring up a lot of good points against Biden, some of which I included above. Joe is a straight up creepy guy, besides all the pictures he was talking about how he has hairy legs that turn blonde and how kids would reach in the pool and rub his leg down and he "learned about kids jumping on my lap, and I love kids jumping on my lap" |

I'm honestly not happy with either choice. I'm not up for politics and never have been.
I don't vote whether thats a good or bad thing, no matter what this election Trump is going to win in my eyes. "Trump train" whatever you wanna call it. He's in a way brain washed the country while hes been in office. No matter what he says the "trump train" backs him on it. Vote for whoever you want but if you vote for Trump and legit say he's not racist and he hasn't done anything wrong. You're brainwashed plain and simple. Trump or biden, neither imo are a good choice and like I stated earlier. Im not into politics and never have been never will be. But atleast if you vote for someone don't worship them like some god thats never done any ill will. Trump is rascist, plain and simple. Biden is retarded, plain and simple. |

BLVD wrote True, trump supporters are so brainwashed, except all the brainwashing outlets spew left-wing bollocks. True, trump is so racist, he actually gave black people a historic number of jobs. If trump is so racist, how come no one ever has a good example. His opponent however has a seemingly large history of racism, as does his running partner. But hey, according to democrats, black lives only matter every 4 years. |

I tried to keep this as unbias as possible, I looked at both tax plans and put in what I thought was important / what I understood and I put either a +++ for positive, --- for negative or a +-+-+ for could go either way. Here are the major things I seen in each tax plan. I do worry about Bidens as he would have Harris as his VP (and she may end up being president) and she had WAY more of an aggressive tax plan than Bidens. Anyway, here is what I've found, please let me know your thoughts.
Biden: Raise top tax bracket (516k+) from 37% to 39.6% maybe more --- Sounds good because they pay more right? Problem with that is that they are usually higher up people in companies which may end up trying to cut costs elsewhere to keep their pocket book full. (mainly coming from Harris) any money over $100k would be taxed an additional 4% --- This is the middle class, essentially once you get to the middle of the middle class (middle class is $48-$145k) then boom, you get taxed an ADDITIONAL 4% which would be on top of the current 18% (or 24% depending on how you look at it). Could be looked at as a wash for most of the middle class, at at the top of the middle class, your taxes increased $1800 which isn't much when you make $145k, but it's still significant. Reduce tax liabilities from business experiencing layoffs +-+-+- This one could go either way in my opinion, the good part would be the financial burden is less on the company so they might be able to lay off less people or be able to rebound faster, however at the same time it also creates kind of a loophole. Think of Boeings current situation, they moved on project from WA to somewhere else so WA seen tons of layoffs so they might be eligible for this, however their production hasn't changed since it was just moved. End subsidies for fossil fuels --- This one is a difficult one to map out, but right now we put in about $20b into the subsidies for fossil fuels, 20% of that going to coal and 90% to natural gas. Ending this without getting too political essentially means that your gas will go up, as well as your electricity bill. We actually don't pay a whole lot in this category considering the EU is estimated to pay around 55b euros. more credits for renewable energy +++ This is good as it has an incentive to "go green" if your into that Manufacturing communities tax credit +++ basically if you live in a manufacturing community which are generally poor areas, you get an addition tax credit which helps out the lower class. expand earned income tax credit on childless workers over 65 +++ Good for those over 65 with no kids (not sure if that means your children are over 18 or you just never had kids, but either way it's a way to help out our elderly). raise capital gains tax rate to ordinary income tax rate --- This is really bad in my opinion. Capital gains is not your income, that is say you sell your house, or you get an inheritance or something along those lines, capitol gains is anything more than what you put into it. I.E I buy a house for $100k, and sold for $150k, I pay the capitol gains on $50k. currently I'd pay 15%, Biden would raise that to around 22%. The current rates are 0-40k = 0%, 40-441k - 15% and 441k+ is 20%. Biden wants to raise 0-40k to 10-12%, and 40-441k between 22 and 37% (I'm assuming it's a ladder system based on the amount). This is really bad for your parents who are downsizing, real estate investors, you when you get an inheritance, etc. raise corporate tax rate from 21% to 28% (harris 35%)----- A lot of people don't see the issue here, what I see immediately is what are the corporations going to do when their taxes jump up 7%? They pass it on to us! Now the product or service will cost us more because they have more they have to spend. It's them footing the bill at the front, but us picking it up on the back end. eliminate cap on social security tax (currently is 6.2% from you and employer, 12.4% total, up to 137k) ++++ I see this as good, but also a little confusing. He originally wanted to end social security and tried to do that twice, but this puts more funding into it. Right now if you make over 137k/year, you don't pay social security taxes on anything over 137k. Biden wants to get rid of that cap so that all the money gets taxed for social security. This is big as social security as it stands might not be there for us in its current funded state when we are all 65+. eliminate stepped up tax +++ I think it's good either way, but it makes sense to eliminate it. Right now if my parents died and I get a nice life insurance check from them, get the house and their wealth, it's not taxed. Yeah that's really nice and in a way makes sense as the taxes were already paid, but since you are taking ownership of the estate, you should pay taxes on it. 28% limit on itemized deduction --- If you're like me and itemize your deductions for your tax returns, this is bad news. Biden wants to make it so there's only a 28% limit so if you had significant deductible expenses or losses, those no longer mean anything and hurt us. expanding affordable healthcare --- The name is good, but that's where it ends. Essentially he wants to put Obama care up again which was a disaster for the lower class. Basically you had to have health insurance otherwise you were fined. Now you have to have an additional expense you can't afford or suffer the fine, and when you get injured, you can't afford to go to the doctor because the insurance doesn't cover much BUT you've already spent a ton of money on it because you were forced. All in all this plan is estimated to raise around $3.8T over the next decade, but decrease the GDP by 1.51%. Neither of those numbers are good lol. The bottom line and what this means for you and me? Well the top 1% will see an average 7.8% decrease in end of the year income, the top 5% will see a 1.1% decrease, and the bottom 94% will see a 0.6% decrease from where things stand now. Trump: lower corporate tax rate to 15% +-+-+- The good to this is POTENTIALLY corporations will see they have more money which means they can either expand and hire more people, raise the wages of their current employees or both. The bad to that is they could do neither and just like the extra money (which will still end up getting pumped into the economy so it still ends up going a good thing in the long run). The bad is of course there's less taxes going to the government which may in turn make then raise taxes on us. remove the 6.2% payroll tax +++ Same thing as above, the companies will save that 6.2% which we may see a portion of in our paychecks, or we may not. They may expand and hire more people, or they may not. Not a lot will change as Trump has already done most everything he wanted / needed to. |
