First time builder looking for some advice on the build I have put together. Will be just for mostly gaming and general use. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You're going to need a case, which you seem to be missing from that parts list.

Change the motherboard. The Asus Prime B550-A is not a very good motherboard. A good B450 motherboard will be a better option, and cheaper. Alternatively, a decent B550 mobo can be had for around £140.

Definitely, absolutely, 100% do not pay £600+(nearly £700) for an RTX 2070 Super. It's worth, at the ABSOLUTE most £400, and even that wouldn't be a very good price IMO considering an RTX 3070 can be had for £500-550, if you actually find one in stock.

If you want/need to save 130 quid, drop the R5 5600X to an R5 3600.

RTX 3070 here is a placeholder, get whichever 3070 you like the look of most and can find in stock for £500-550. Alternatively, AMD's RX 6800 will be out November 18th, might be worth keeping an eye out for one of those.

While the Intel 665p is fine, and a pretty good deal for 90 quid, the Sabrent Rocket Q is well worth the extra tenner over the 665p.

Thank you so much for you reply, really appreciate all the helpful suggestions. I haven't added a case because I'm getting one from a friend of mine. I have made the changes you suggested and I'm going to look out for that AMD RX 6800 when it comes out.

I'm not building a PC not am I really that interested to be honest but the post was interesting and it had me looking at PC parts for around 15 minutes. Damn!
