Although after each match in your after match progress thing that's shown, you should see your true rank displayed in the left corner.

It's most likely just visual, although if it's zombies you're ranking in it could be a true lose of levels, but I very much doubt it it's hard to know, if you really are sure you lost levels contact twitter.com/ATVIAssist for help

So to clarify the rank shown at the top of your screen is your true rank.

There is a bug atm, I'll also break down the prestige's

1-55 is pre prestige

Then you're prestige 1 until level 50

Level 50-99 is prestige 2

Level 100 is prestige 3

What's shown in your after match progress is the rank you would be if you weren't prestige (what your non prestiged rank would be)

As every level of prestige is the same xp as level 54-55 pre prestige.
