Hi there,

I am looking to build a new PC. Mine currently is old and slow.

What is your budget and currency? About 1500-2000 USD

I want to get rid of my current PC and build a new one.

What will you use the PC for? Gaming, Internet browsing, watching streams - games will include Warzone, Modern Warfare, cold war, Destiny 2, WWII zombies, Minecraft, etc.

Do you need a monitor? No, my two monitors are Asus VG248qe(gaming) and Dell s2419nx (secondary)

Do you need a keyboard, mouse, or other peripherals? No, have them already

Will you overclock? no

Anything else we should know? AMD vs intel- either one is fine, no preference.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The parts list you PM'd me was private so I couldn't see what exactly what you were looking at.

Since you mentioned wanting a 2TB SSD though;
PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($300.00)
CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B 51.17 CFM CPU Cooler ($46.59 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B550-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard ($159.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Team T-FORCE DARK Za 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sabrent Rocket 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($249.98 @ Amazon)
Video Card: PNY GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB XLR8 Gaming REVEL EPIC-X RGB Video Card ($549.94 @ Office Depot)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case ($94.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2018) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $1616.46

You can spend an extra $20 on motherboard and grab a B550 Strix if you want some more features, like RGB headers.

This 2TB Sabrent Rocket is the same price as the Sabrent Rocket Q and faster, so get that while it's the same price. If pricing changes though, then the Rocket Q is still pretty good for $250.

RTX 3070 is a placeholder, grab whichever RTX 3070 or RX 6800 you can find in stock and like the look of. I wouldn't pay more than $500-550 for a 3070, or right around $600 for a 6800. RTX 3070 if you want better ray tracing performance and/or DLSS, RX 6800 if you want closer to RTX 3080 performance. Either option is going to be more than adequate for 1080p144Hz.

Nice, so what do I need to know about the warning on pcpartpicker where it says "Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions"... is that something I will have to worry about? easy fix? non-issue?

Non-issue. Should really come with the relevant BIOS for a 5600X but if not, then the Asus TUF B550 has BIOS flashback anyway so you can update to the relevant BIOS without issue.
