We're in a PANDEMIC yet too selfish to immunise yourself?

Coronavirus has been around for YEARS. The strand "COVID-19" is the issue, they're not the same thing. We've had the stuff for years to tackle certain strands of this virus, but this one has came up as deadly (to some).

Scientists are working their asses off to get a vaccine out to the world and when the question is asked, vast majority say no?

Absolutely mind boggling, but then again, what do I expect?

corgi wrote Yes I would take it. A lot of people don't understand it usually takes a whole year to develop vaccines and test them properly. If there was a vaccine that was rushed and came out like 5 months ago, I would be skeptical and probably not take it. But they (companies like Pfizer) have to take so many protocols and follow CDC guidelines that we should feel safe in taking it. Political opinions aside if you don't trust that a covid vaccine is safe, just don't get one. We have shown so far that the virus is manageable, and the longer we go without a vaccine the higher the likelihood that we start to develop natural antibodies for it and could establish herd immunity.

Literally took them 2 days to make the vaccine. Everything since then was just getting all the approvals

Apparently there's a vaccine ready for the Uk approved by the US and it's 95% effective, should be out available in a couple weeks hopefully.

Honestly, I would refuse to take a COVID vac. Just not my kind of thing.
