My current specs are -
GTX 1050TI
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.5 GB usable)

I really would like to upgrade my CPU to improve some performance as I notice my CPU is the only thing which let's me down.

Would I be able to upgrade my CPU?
Do I need to do anything before upgrading my CPU?

I was thinking of upgrading to Intel Core i5-3570K(I will need to order it) but if you have any different thoughts please let me know at my budget.)
budget for CPU is around £60 as long as it's better than the one I currently have

a ssd with increase windows performance dramatically making sure your motherboard supports ssd if not
depending on your socket then a i7 would work as a straight swap in some cases with no bios change, the best bet here is to upgrade your motherboard either intel or ryzen socket and run a ssd which will dramatically improve performance, any build now id recommend ssd for windows installation

personally if your upgrading soon save the cash, try overclock it, honestly be better building a new rig or upgrading motherboard, and cpu together, or replace hdd windows install on the ssd as its direct to motherboard

so do you think it would help at all if I were to upgrade my CPU to something better right now or would switching to SSD be better. because I notice I get high CPU percentage at some points when playing games.
And I notice on a lot of games I've played I see there requirements are always fine for me but the CPU isnt.

I'm guessing you mean GPU if that's the case im using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
and the games im talking about are
GTA 5
Red Dead Redemption 2
Borderlands 3
and more

I meet all the "minimal requirements" except the CPU requirement.

hmm this is strange and yeah you can upgrade the cpu to i7 but check socket first and if need of bios and id recommend a gpu upgrade to 1650 super minimum will cause less bottlenecking
