I bought a new computer recently with a 3070 8GB DUAL OC graphics card and a Corsair CV650 650W psu. Later i read that some people think that the CV psu isnt good enough to support a 3070. Should i consider getting a new psu or am i safe?

Oh my god, pls no. The Corsair CV PSU's are just not good quality at all. I absolutely wouldn't feel safe/comfortable running a $500+ GPU on something like that.

If you google LTT PSU Tier list you can find some solid options. Best to go off that list so you can be safe. A good PSU is always worth spending money on.

What's your budget and currency?

Which CM MWE PSU are you talking about? The Gold rated fully modular variant is fine, the Bronze rated units aren't very good at all. Corsair RMx is probably a better choice regardless though, out of those 2 anyway.

Irrelevant to the OP but I'd like your input. Just ordered a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC, what do you think of the Corsair TX750M 80 PLUS Gold, would it be a good PSU to get?

Corsair's current TXM PSU's are all pretty good, and 750W is more than enough for an RTX 3070 so yeah that's a fine choice.

Is there any risk that my CV650 could harm other hardware over time?
