So I know this is a PC forum, but this seems like the best place to ask this question since I don't see anywhere else. I have a PS5 and an Xbox Series X and I'm looking to get the most out of them. I currently have an older 1080p monitor that I've had for about 4 years and it's been great, but I'm not going to get the most out of the new consoles with it. Looking for a newer one that can really show what these systems can do. Any help is appreciated.

You won't find any 4K high refresh rate monitors for that price. I think the sweet spot for the new consoles and most PC's (unless you have an RTX 3080 or 3090) is a high refresh rate 1440p (2K monitor). You will have a nice balance of image quality, frame rate and it is cheaper (typically around $400-600).

I currently have the MSI MAG272QR (27", 1440p, 165hz refresh rate, 1ms response time)

The main differences I can see is that one is 32", curved, and has a 4ms response time. The one I suggested is 27", flatscreen, and has a 1ms response time (better for gaming). The both have VA panels which is considered a very good balance from a colour accuracy point of view as well as response time. Other than that, I can't really see any other major differences.

Also, if you're wondering about panels: TN panels have the best response time but the worst colour accuracy and IPS have the worst response time but the best colour accuracy. VA panels are the middle ground option ideal for gaming in my opinion.
