Post wisdom teeth removal update: the sedative had not worn off yet so I still can't feel anything going to start taking some Prescribed Meds and extra strength tylenol in the next hour to get ahead of the sedative wearing off so I will continue to feel as little pain as possible overall not bad allot of bleeding though currently bitting on these gauzes to form a blood clot

I pray my clot doesn't come off and get dry socket...

phollan wrote When I got mine removed it didn't hurt at all. Had all four removed, never took any medication, and ate solid foods a few days after. Just avoid straws!

The anesthesia has worn off I took my first round of pain meds 2 hours ago i feel the pain where the teeth were extracted but it's nothing crazy also I have 2 ice packs wrapped up in a net type thing strung around my face fixed so that there is an Ice pack resting beside each cheek lol this way I don't have to hold Ice packs to my face

I feel the pain now but the meds I took were given 2 hours to settle in so they are helping I will be taking 1 extra strength tylenol in 1 hr as well

My current routine:
Swapping for new gauzes to stop bleeding every 30 min
Ice for 20 min, off for 20 min ( rotations )
2 Pain meds to start + 3 hours take 1 ES Tylenol + 3hrs 2 more of other pain meds ( repeat this every 3 hours)

Ever person is different when it comes to pain tolerance when getting wisdom teeth removed.

Start with liquid and soft foods such as apple sauce, yogurt,
smoothies,broths/blended soups,mashed potatoes,Jell-O, pudding, and ice cream.

As you start to heal, you can incorporate more normal foods. Start off easy with semisoft foods like scrambled eggs, instant oatmeal, and toast before moving to foods like chicken, fruits, and vegetables.

Items to avoid:
Acidic and spicy foods (including citrus juice) may cause irritation and pain.
Alcoholic beverages can irritate the area and are likely to interact negatively with the pain medication prescribed by your doctor.
Grains (including rice and quinoa) and any types of seeds can easily become trapped in the extraction site.
Hard or difficult-to-chew foods (including nuts, chips, and jerky) can reopen the stitches and delay healing.

As for oral hygiene the day after wisdom teeth removal surgery, you should begin rinsing at least five to six times a day, especially after meals. Keep your mouth clean with salt water rinses or a toothbrush but don't vigorously rinse your mouth.

I wish you the best of luck with your wisdom teeth removal.

Nice I got all four of mine removed at once too. Not too bad. I was back to eating meats in a week as long as I kept it clean.
