Anyone know about CCTV DVRs and connecting them on with wirelessly.

Got an ONY-X Kestrel DVR and TPLink wireless adapter. I can now view all WiFi's connections, but when i click mine and type the password and click Apply, it stays on "Status: Not Connected".

I can't find anything online that helps me. Any light shed here would be greatly appreciated !!

Any good CCTV kit should have plenty of solid documentation to reference so I'd be checking that first.

Create a hotspot on your phone, see if it connects to that. If it doesn't send it back and buy something that's better lmao.

Also, please try and connect it via ethernet. Please.

The bloke who fitted it threw away the box. I'm only left with a quick start guide which gives no useful info whatsoever. It doesn't connect to my hotspot either, just sits on "not connected" and won't move. Also it was installed upstairs in the back bedroom, so too far to get an Ethernet cable to it.
Will have to get the bloke back to sort this shit, as nothing obvious to me comes to mind. Thanks for ur reply though!
