So I've recently changed out my RAM. Same brand, same speed, same stick. Just two 16GB sticks instead of two 8GB sticks. I didn't know this at first but it turns out that RAM defaults to 2133mhz so I've been using that instead of the 3200 that my RAM is capable of. I changed my RAM over yesterday and set the speed to 3200. It restarts and then doesn't post.

I had to take out the battery to reset cmos and it worked. Tried changing the speed again and success. Turned computer off after using it for a few hours and today I turn it on, I'm messing with the lights and it crashes so I restart and same issue. Took the battery out again and now I'm currently using it at 2133.

Any ideas as to why changing it to 3200 is giving me so many issues?

What's your CPU and Mobo?

Clearing CMOS is just resetting your BIOS settings, which is why it keeps reverting to 2133MHz RAM speed.

Seems to me like 3200MHz isn't stable. You should have a 2933MHz XMP setting, so I'd just try that and see if it's stable at 2933. Alternatively, you can try manually tuning RAM speed, timings, and/or voltage.

CPU = AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Motherboard = MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon

I'll have to try and set it to 2933 and see how that goes. What do you think could be causing it to not be stable? The motherboard supposedly supports DDR4-3200

Up to 3200MHz. R5 3600 + a decent B450 mobo shouldn't actually have too much trouble running at 3200MHz. I was going to say that you might be on an older BIOS, but it's obviously new enough to support the R5 3600, so BIOS version shouldn't be causing too much issue. Might just be a cheaper set of RAM that isn't playing nice, unfortunately.

It happens, I have to run 3200MHz kits at 2933MHz, but I'm running an R7 1700x + X370 motherboard, both of which had much poorer memory support than your CPU/Mobo.

If you set 2933MHz XMP and you're stable, then it's definitely just your RAM kit not being stable at 3200MHz. RAM voltage might not be set high enough to run 3200MHz stable, or maybe the 3200MHz XMP is trying to run timings that aren't working properly with your kit. If you really want the extra speed, then you'll probably have to manually adjust voltage and timings.
