February 15 - McLaren - Woking

McLaren has become the first Formula 1 team to reveal its 2021 car, having pulled the covers off its new MCL35M at its Woking factory.

The MCL35M features the team's iconic papaya orange and blue livery and is the first McLaren F1 car to be fitted with a Mercedes engine in seven years after the British outfit switched from Renault to revive the partnership which previously ran between 1995 and 2014 over the winter.

February 19 - AlphaTauri - Virtual

Formula One team Scuderia AlphaTauri served up a stylish preview of the new F1 season with a presentation of its 2021 livery alongside key looks from the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2021 collection of Red Bull's premium fashion brand, AlphaTauri.

After a successful first season racing in AlphaTauri colours, the Italian outfit is looking to challenge the top of the ultra-competitive midfield in 2021, and the two young drivers have been assigned clear-cut roles. Gasly is Team Leader. The 25-year-old, who made his Formula One debut with the team in 2017 under its former name, Scuderia Toro Rosso, has earned two F1 podiums. During the 2020 campaign, Gasly's maiden win at Monza was a defining moment for him and the team under its new name.
Tsunoda, 20, is the first Japanese driver to race in F1 since 2014, his promotion coming off the back of a fast, four-season trajectory from winning the 2018 F4 Japanese Championship and finishing third in the 2020 FIA F2 Championship to entering the top-level ranks this year. Expectations are high for his rapid style of learning to complement the experience of Gasly.

February 22 - Alfa Romeo - Warsaw

One of the only unchanged driver line-ups on the grid from last season, Kimi Rikknen and Antonio Giovinazzi were both on hand to reveal the new car that features subtle tweaks from its predecessor.

On first viewing, the new C41 has a redesigned front nose cone, moving to a narrower Mercedes-like design featuring a rounded shape and pointed tip, with new vanes on either side of the leading edge leading to the cape and bargeboard area.

23 February - Red Bull - Virtual

If we then look at the actual structural changes of the RB16B, we quickly come to the conclusion that the car looks almost identical to the RB16. In the front there is a little more curvature in the elements of the forewings, the nostrils are somewhat larger and the wings on either side of the nose are placed a little higher. And with the bargeboards, the upright wings are slightly pulled back.

However, they are minor differences, especially if you compare that with the changes to the nose that Alfa Romeo presented yesterday. Because the floor has of course undergone major changes due to the changes in the regulations, it could well be that we will see larger changes to the nose in a month's time. The air flows towards the new floor start at the nose and perhaps Red Bull does not want to let itself be looked into the cards yet.

March 2 - Alpine - Virtual

Alpine has launched its 2021 Formula 1 car, the A521.

Esteban Ocon was on hand to reveal the new car, though Fernando Alonso was a conspicuous absence as he continues his pre-season preparations following a cycling accident last month in Switzerland and subsequent surgery.

The team has rebranded from Renault since last season, instead competing under the iconic Alpine name as the Groupe Renault focuses on its performance brand in motor sport.

March 2 - Mercedes - Virtual

The first render images of the Mercedes W12 car were released on Tuesday morning ahead of an online presentation at 11am GMT featuring drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.

Mercedes has retained the black-based livery for 2021 following its switch before the start of last season to incorporate a strong anti-racism message.

But the team has ditched its speckled-star design on the engine cover, replacing it with a series of stickers for its AMG brand against a background that fades to silver.

March 3 - Aston Martin

Aston Martin has revealed its new Formula 1 car ahead of the 2021 season, marking the return of the constructor to the grid after 61 years away.

Following the rebranding of the Racing Point team over the winter, Aston Martin launched the AMR21 at an event on Wednesday, revealing the hotly-anticipated new livery.

The team has adopted the British racing green colour that has long been teased, as well as retaining some pink elements that Racing Point was known for through sponsor BWT.

March 5 - Williams - Virtual

Williams have unveiled the car they hope will lift them further up the grid in 2021 as the iconic Formula 1 team kick-start their new era with a fresh look.

The FW43B - retaining legendary team founder Frank Williams' initials - was revealed via traditional digital images online despite an initial innovative plan to do so using augmented reality, which the team were forced to abandon after the VR app was hacked before the launch.

The car's revamped white, blue and yellow livery has been inspired by Williams' dominant cars from the 1980s and '90s - with new CEO Jost Capito saying it "signposts our long-term ambition to return to the front".

March 8 - Haas

The newly branded Uralkali Haas F1 Team and its new driver tandem of rookies Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin are off for Bahrain this week and a three-day test of its new VF-21 challenger for the 2021 season.

The three-day test begins on Friday with Schumacher taking on the morning session and Mazepin going out in the afternoon.

Haas late last week unveiled images of its new livery for 2021 featuring the team's new title sponsor, Uralkali. On Friday morning, ahead of the test, the team will take the cover off its cars. According to the Haas F1 Team, Urakali is one of the world's largest potash fertilizer produces. The sponsorship deal is a multi-year agreement.

March 10 - Ferrari

Ferrari left fans fuming on the reveal of their car for the 2021 Formula One season due to the 'last minute' decision to add green to the traditional red and black livery.

The Italian manufacturer's SF21 was unveiled on Wednesday as the final team to do so ahead of the start of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

But the focus was consumed by fans on the addition of green Mission Window branding on the engine cover which left some disappointed at 'the worst looking car on the grid' this season.

As expected. Lewis Hamilton has stayed on with Mercedes. However it's only a 1 year contract meaning this could possibly be his last season in F1. I will assume it's because he wants to see what their 2022 car will look like for the new regulations and have the option to extend or leave teams or the sport entirely.

There was an article published about it.
One indication that Hamilton intends to stay with Mercedes beyond 2021 is the creation of a charitable foundation to improve diversity and inclusion in motorsport as part of the new contract. Both Mercedes and Hamilton were F1's core champions of such causes in 2020, but such change is very much a long-term commitment.

Yes thank you I did see this a little while after I had posted. I also read that they just got the 1 year out of the way and will talk 22 and beyond later this year. Either way, pretty interesting to me

To be honest, it'll probably be his last year in Formula 1 as a driver.

Updated with pictures and article of the first car to be revealed. McLaren has shown off their brand new car MCL35M which now boasts the Mercedes engine. How well do you think McLaren will do this year?
