My girlfriend is in the healthcare field and she got the vaccine (mederna) and after watching her reactions to it, I'm waiting lol. I've heard way to many horror stories from both vaccines and honestly I'm more worried about the vaccine than I am about the virus. I'm not saying I am not scared of the virus, both of us have had family member die as a result of it and her parents got it but for me and my current life position, I would like to wait to see more testing done and minimize the issues that are going on with the vaccines.
I said the same thing during H1N1 (though I was still in middle school I believe), that vaccine didn't have near the side effects as this one but I made the choice (with my parents consent) not to take it as I didn't like what I was reading about it at the time. I said maybe in 5 years or something when it can be perfected but not right now and that's how I feel about the Covid vaccine. I still have not gotten the H1N1 vaccine though so we'll see lol. |

I personally believe a vaccine needs at least 1 year of post rollout to see any major side effects. Not trying to be a guinea pig for it. We still have to adhere to social distancing & mask rules here in NYC anyway so there's really no rush for me to go get it.
You tell me i never have to wear this mask again if i get it & im standing outside an urgent care like its a cod midnight release LMAO |
