Drew Brees was drafted 2001 / Round: 2 / Pick: 32. Brees announced on Sunday that he was going to retire from his 20+ year career. 15 of which he was with the New Orleans Saints! The other 5 with the San Diego Chargers. Less then 24hrs after he retired he signed a contract with NBC Sports broadcast team as a football analyst. He had a great career in my opinion and I can see why he couldn't leave it fully behind.

As expected though, Romo did the same thing. Some people can step away from playing the game itself but it's hard to step away from it entirely. |

How do you think Brees will do in the broadcasting booth? He was a much better QB than Romo and I would say knows his X's and O's better, but I don't know if he will be as outgoing/sociable as Romo. I've been waiting for years to see Peyton Manning become a broadcaster as he has been involved in television for years, but Romo is definitely keeping things interesting. |
