What is your budget and currency?
What will you use the PC for? Do you need a monitor? If not, what monitor(s) will you be using? Do you need a keyboard, mouse, or other peripherals? Do you need an operating system? Will you overclock? Anything else we should know? |

Apologies for the very late response. I'd be looking at something like this;
PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£172.99 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£79.99 @ AWD-IT) Memory: Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (£74.96 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£80.92 @ Amazon UK) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB GAMING X Video Card (£299.99 @ CCL Computers) Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower Case (£82.17 @ CCL Computers) Power Supply: SeaSonic CORE GM 500 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£49.99 @ Scan.co.uk) Monitor: MSI Optix G242 23.8" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor (£149.00 @ Amazon UK) Total: £990.01 GTX 1660 absolutely is not worth 300 quid, I've really just put that there as a placeholder. RTX 3060 should be a £300 GPU but these days, you've got to take what you can get. I'd start by looking for a GPU around that £300-350 price range, maybe take a look at the used market if you're up for it. Like I said, ideally you would get a 3060 but you'll either have to wait, or settle. I definitely wouldn't get as low end as a GTX 1660 though, so maybe something in between; RTX 2060/2060 Super, RX 5700XT, or something along those lines might be doable in the budget. I'd probably try to get a GPU sorted first, then buy the rest of the system. Better than having all the parts sitting waiting to be built while you look for a GPU. Alternatively, you could grab an i5-10400/11400 and an Intel motherboard(B460/B560) so that you at least have a system with integrated graphics for now to get up and running, then add a GPU at a later date. Just make sure not to buy the "F" SKU Intel CPU(i5-10400F/11400F) as those do not have integrated graphics, so that would just defeat the purpose of buying Intel in the first place lol. |
