Yeah I lost that feeling when the next gen consoles came out. I still do get those feelings playing PC games instead, the consoles are ruined. |

MyNameIsVest wrote So... Recently i've been trying to find that old feeling i used to get when playing games. You can laugh at me all you want but i know this will hit home for alot of you. You know that feeling of playing Minecraft at 1am when everyones asleep and your eyes are all watery just listening to that subtle piano play in the background or those nights of just playing W@W grinding for that sniper scope on the M1 Garand. That nostalgic feeling it just doesnt hit me anymore. I dont have that fun of playing games anymore and it sucks i think i grew up and i hate it! I want to feel those days again those were the best!!! Staying up with all of your friends trickshotting on MW2 i miss that i miss those feelings its sad to say that i just dont enjoy very many games anymore. Same... don't feel that old school buzz I used to get playing old games like COD4, WAW or the first gears of war those days were some of the best I've had gaming and now it's all AAA This and battle royale that seems to be repetitive all the time for the past year and don't get me started on fornite ... |

I can fully relate. I go back to the all nighters on Cod4 trying to hit a bounce with all the gun classes. Or trickshotting on Cod4 and MW2. With late night michael myers games. Video games have evolved and will never be the same. They're not so simple anymore. They have way too much and that makes them feel bulky. Too many choices simply dissolves most excitement in grinding for those few special things in the game. When it comes to the social aspect to it as well it's not the same. I used to be able to go online on any old Cod or Halo and end up in a big lobby of people playing fun custom games and adding 3-4 of them. I don't remember the last time I personally added someone on Xbox lol. Too much anger, ego's, and competition.
We didn't just grow up, gaming isn't the same anymore |

coming home from school and playing black ops 2 until 2 am with friends will always be the best time period in my life. No stress, no commitments, no worries. |

Honestly, Its mostly because i dont have alot of people to play with and thats likely the situation with others on here. Im currently not working and so alot of my friends are and during the day i can get really bored. So whilst i do agree with everything everyone else has said here, I also can take into consideration that due to me not having anyone to play with that can also completely deter me from wanting to play at all. Its why i took time away from it recently to fill spaces like ive been getting really deep into music production atm and thats been alot of fun for me and given me that smile back i used to have from gaming (as cringe as that sounded ) |
