i am a new user to linux and was using my machine as normal. went to update the system thru the add/remove software application. and all of a sudden my machine crashed, rebooted, went to a black screen and then gave me an error screen that read "Failed to start load kernel modules" then "dependency failed for local files sytem
am in emergency mode but no commands i've tried seem to work. is there anyone out there that has run into this problem already, and may be able to assist? <3

Sudo /etc/fstab : command not found
sudo manjaro-chroot -a : command not found
sudo pacman -Syu : command not found
sudo pacman -Syyu : unable to lock database
mkdir /mnt/manjaro : permission denied
sudo systemctl start NetworkManager ModemManager : failed
systemctl status ModemManager -xeu : invalid option

double edit: i resolved the issue. it took a while, and there was more than one problem ongoing. basically my machine crashed while updating, corrupting some directories and they all needed to be manually fixed.

Hey there. Im new here, but I would really post this on a dedicated linux forum, particularly one for Manjaro.

[Minimum post requirement for links]

What is your knowledge level with regard too these commands, its okay if not much, just trying to grasp what you know.

thank you for responding. i originally did post to linux forums, where a lot of people basically just told me to give up. was a lot of work to do, and if you want to shoot me a pm i'd be happy to discuss the issue i had and how i resolved it. <3
