When I was in high school I would have auto shop class and work on cars but my principal had a BMW and it costs a shit ton of money to fix certain things plus his car always had a problem idk why but it always did lol

Definitely NOT the best BMW motor lol. I would say for 2k it is a good project car buy, and those N54s are pretty peppy and fun motors to build.

A $2000 335i? No way it only needs an alternator and battery.

N54s (335i motor) are notoriously some of the least reliable motors from modern BMWs. Odds are it needs a water pump and timing job at the minimum. I'd be super hesitant, that's a "make this someone else's problem" price.

With that said, 335i's are sick when done right. They just require some extra attention.

Swear that engine had issues with cylinder cracks? definitely not the best BMW engine.

Absolutely not bmw is a joke, bought an x5 for £6000 lasted 6 months and scrapped it for 3k

Good choice. Worked on a 335I last week.... Not cheap to repair what so ever.
