As you can see from the title, I am looking to buy a gaming set up for xbox with a budget of £3000, I currently only have an £80 monitor, £15 turtle beach (as my mum stepped on my more expensive ones, so she owes me money), controller which I think is the newest one for xbox and an 500gb xbox one and was wondering what you would all suggest?
I'm obviously thinking the newest xbox, a gaming chair as I currently sit on my bed, headphones I know are important but they are not a priority as I don't even have the volume all the way up on my current ones and still play well, please drop suggestions below. Thanks. |

I would look into getting a PC setup with dual monitors with that type of budget, i personally have a cheap monitor on my side and my main monitor is a 144hz LG Monitor, if i had to give a budget on most of the upgrades you could make:
LG 144hz monitor (170$-190$) Astro a40's (120$) Xbox Series X Office Chair (I heard bad things about gaming chairs so i wouldn't know where to start) Even with most of those things its probably going to cost you around 600$ probably less. You have a lot of money to work with so i would probably look into getting a PC to play some of the more competitive games since a lot of games don't support 120Hz which can get annoying when you play things like Apex Legends(which i usually get 25-30 FPS in big areas and even lower during teamfights with my xbox one x) |

For sure you don't exactly need a fancy desk, hell my setup is on plywood with crates and its been like that for 4+ years. if you were trying to invest in a PC i would look into getting a L shaped desk, they're super nice but if you already have a desk you should be all good Even though i play mostly console i find myself using my PC a lot when i play with friends, i can use the Xbox app to get game sound so i don't have to use the bulky mixamp on my controller, i can use discord while also getting game sound and if i want to stream for my friends i can. With all games pretty much coming with crossplay i just meet all of my friends in the middle and join discord instead of them signing into xbox and getting on the app |
